St Saviour's Church, nestled in beautiful gardens, exudes the character of a century old Cathedral yet also the warmth of a smaller, more intimate setting. It is an ideal venue for weddings as it is centrally located, with easy access from the N1 motorway and is surrounded by a number of reception venues some examples of which can be found in our Resources Link.

The interior of the church hosts a combination of wood-pannelled ceilings, hanging cast-iron candlelabrums and both a traditional pipe-organ and piano. Adjacent to the sanctuary stands a bell tower, host to a traditional church bell which couples often elect to ring at the start of the wedding service.

The garden and cloistered areas offer an ideal opportunity for couples to take wedding photographs on site, after the ceremony.

The church arrangements are hosted by Hester Stevenson, an accomplished organist and pianist who also takes responsibility for the music. Flowers are arranged by Mimi Adey who has an intimate knowledge of the church and enhances the building with her floral arrangements to full effect.

We have enjoyed a number of celebrity weddings at St Saviour's with guests as auspicious as the former Presidents of the Republic, Messers Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki, not to mention Chief Buthelezi.
