Part of the expression of our unity in Christ (1 Corinthians 10:17) and of the love God has given us to share with one another (Matthew 22:39ff) are the fellowship events that cement these relationships. There are many events of this nature that take place during the course of the year, but here are some of our more regular get-to-gethers:
The family day is hosted by the children's ministry and is an opportunity for young and old alike to get together and indulge in food, fellowship and fun. Over the years themes have included potjiekos competitions, international days, various sporting events and of course lots of activities for the children.
Our regular Ladies Morning Breakfasts are no less fun but also imbued with a more specific opportunity for personal and spiritual growth. Hostesses host tables and cater for their guests or ticketholders while being ministered to by quality speakers ranging on topics from walking to the North Pole all the way through to personal testimonies from celebrities.
On many Passovers members and guests have been invited to enjoy a traditional Jewish Passover Meal along accompanied by a narration on the meaning and symbolism contained in the meal for us as followers of Christ; and how his last Passover meal was a foreshadowing of things to come.
