The Prayer Chain
"Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart." - Philippians 4 v 6
Based on the Book by Evelyn Christenson, "What Happens when Women Pray", the Telephone Prayer Chain consists of a small group of dedicated people who make themselves available to pray regularly for different prayer needs as well as community and church-related events.
The prayers are phoned through to the pray-ers from the Telephone Prayer Chain leader, at a specific time each day, Monday to Friday, carefully written down by the prayer chain member and then passed on, word for word, to the next person on the Prayer Chain.
Then time is spent in prayer in each individual pray-ers home for the needs of that day, so that within a time frame of approximately 30 minutes all those requests, thanks and praises, are given to the Lord.
We gladly receive all prayer requests, whether people are members of the church or not, it doesn't matter, and all prayers are treated confidentially.
The contact person for the Prayer Chain is Margie Kuiper (010) 224 0138
Each Sunday, before our worship services commence, a team of dedicated Prayer Warriors intercede in the Prayer Vestry for God to bless the impending time spent focussing on Him.
After each worship service all participants who have been moved to seek further prayer are invited to the Prayer Vestry where elders are available to minister with them.
Our Prayer Ministry is facilitated up by Heidi Beyers and she can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
