MANNA AND MERCY SOUP KITCHEN

This Soup Kitchen is held four days a week on the pavement outside Gallagher Estate in Midrand. The aim of the Soup Kitchen is to provide soup and bread for casuals standing on the side of the road looking for work. Each week up to 800 (mostly) men are fed.

The Soup Kitchen is staffed entirely by volunteers, the soup is cooked in the home of Gail Seargent and the bread is purchased locally.

Midrand Presbyterian Church provides financial support and our members staff the Soup Kitchen on three days of the week in conjunction with other volunteers.

Val Corin is our liaison for the Soup Kitchen and she may be made contact with at Val@fmscenta.co.za
