WORSHIP

Services

Our regular Sunday worship takes place at two identical services, once commencing at 8am and the other at 9.30am. These services are a mixture of contemporary and traditional worship at times featuring either the worship team or else the choir.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month at both services. The last Sunday of each month is set aside for Infant or Adult Baptisms, on request. For the balance of the month's services the children engage in the Young People's Ministry hosted in the church hall and thereafter at various venues.

Before and after each of the morning Services worshippers are invited to share in tea and fellowship either in the Cloisters (Summer) or on the lawns (Winter).

If anyone would like to find out further information on our services please make contact with the church office at midchurch@midchurch.co.za

The Music Ministry

1 Chronicles 15:16: "sing joyful songs, accompanied by musical instruments" (NIV)

THE CHURCH CHOIR

Under the watchful eye of Gill Ziervogel the choir, of approximately 20 members, sings regularly during our services of worship. Their range is from the light to the classical and each year we are blessed with either a Christmas or an Easter cantata.

The highlight of the year is our Carol Service, which takes place on an evening in December. This includes entertainment on the lawns surrounding the church followed by candle-lit worship in the Sanctuary.

The choir practices on Monday evenings at 19:30 at Gill Ziervogel's studio and always welcomes new members. Gill may be contacted at gill@midchurch.co.za

THE WORSHIP BAND

Bernie Wicomb is responsible for the worship team which meets every Saturday for practice. The Band started in 2003 and at present has a whole range of vocalists, acoustic and electrical guitarists, a drummer and a percussionist.

The Worship Band's Vision and Mission Statement is as follows:
We are called by God to lead people into true Spirit lead worship and to be accountable to God for everything we do in our lives and ministry. Deuteronomy 1: 6 - 8

The band leads worship during alternate Sunday services evening services. Bernie may be contacted at BernardW@sterkinekorent.com .

THE CHURCH ORGAN

While Gill Ziervogel offers accompaniment on the piano, Hester Stevenson ably accompanies our hymns on the St Saviour's Pipe Organ. Hester not only augments our worship with her gifted playing but also hosts concerts in the Sanctuary from time-to-time. Hester may be contacted through the church office at midchurch@midchurch.co.za
