Food Parcels @ midchurch
This initiative started in May 2020, during the early days of the Covid19 lockdown in response to the growing need for food due to the closing down of businesses and how it negatively effected the livelihoods of our community. The project has continued and the food parcels are given out weekly to support and feed close to 100 people in the surrounding community.
The project is run entirely on the donations from members of Midchurch and the wider community and by means of a team of volunteers who source the contents of the parcels and pack the parcels ready for collection. Each parcel is valued at roughly R100.
