Midchurch holds a worship service every third Sunday of the month at Highveld Gardens Retirement Lodge. An Elder and a group of volunteers from our congregation run the service for the residents followed by a time of fellowship afterwards with tea, coffee and some delicious eats.

During the week, members of our Pastoral Care Team visit the residents for a chat and prayer. They also hand out the Faith for Daily Living booklets each month to the residents.

Highveld Gardens Retirement Lodge was established in 1985 and has been in operation as a family care facility ever since. Current owners, John and Shona Le Roux, are assisted by their son, Daniel. Together they lead a team of competent staff, which consists of two nursing sisters, Margaret and Yvonne, three staff nurses, two auxiliary nurses, 32 care givers and general manager, Monica.
